• Deliberate disobedience must be dealt with instantly with a positive correction.
• Always remember that a dog cannot ask questions or talk back, neither can they totally understand what you say. Keep the commands simple to make sure they understand.
• Keep on instilling the commands into their memory until it becomes a habit and an automatic response.
• If you need to give a correction, make sure it is positive and firm, so they will remember.
•Never try to teach or enforce to do anything until you as the handler or owner have a good understanding of how to teach the dog. Have a clear mental picture of each stage.
•Try to eliminate the mistakes. Cut the exercise down to achievable sections and move forward. It never hurts to go back to come forward.
• Find out what motivates your dog positively. What is your dog's number one motivation i.e. Food, play items, attention, affection, or maybe praise.
• Always finish dog training with a positive point has been achieved. Never finish dog training on a wrong point.
• For time that is long enough that the dog is interested and does not become bored and tired. If this happens finish the training on a positive note.
•You cannot always train your dog, but by having your dog with you a majority of the time. Your dog will become use to your words, behavior, actions, and different surroundings. This will make dog training easier.
